Good handheld. I had the previous generation and this one seems as good. Don't hesitate to buy it. That is great for a back up which I often need after a long day of sailing and monitoring.

So far so good. Software is available on the Retevis website. Be sure to read the data from the radio first before you start adding your custom channels, they will not upload correctly. I learned the hard way. Spent 2 hours customizing my channel list and went to hit upload and didn't work. Had to start from scratch after reading from the radio first and it worked fine. This will be tested by a local school corporation. I'll update my review as the time gets on. So far so good

They are a good quality and it’s great that each transmitter has its own charging unit. They are being used in an area of less than 1 mile radius and so far they are worth it. Packaging was good quality

Purchased these for our farm and so far so good. One was dropped in a puddle and it still works! Range is good for us... a little over a mile. They seem to hold a charge good, too. Be sure to turn off when charging or they won't charge (lesson learned). One employee wanted headphones, so be warned that you have to purchase the specific ones that work for these radios; can't use any kind you buy at the store (or for your phone). The customer service dept. was very responsive when I had questions about the headphones (not being able to find ones that work)... Overall we are happy with the purchase :)

Improved clarity

All though I have only recently brought these radios and haven’t had very long to access them. I am impressed with the clarity and range which is much improved on previous models. We use these radios for crew communication on a mega yacht and find them well suited to that purpose.
