I have been with the RT87 for 4 days and let me tell you that there is no problem for me to recommend this radio to my customers, they will be 100% satisfied, I guarantee it, it's Easy to programed it any it's very comfortable in your hands. Retevis knows what they are doing. I will soon be bringing this radio in to my country to market it's worth trying it.

I'm from Finland and this is very use full for my hobby as volunteer. Would have some more basic information of it before I bought it. Would have been good to know that this isn't a Digital Mobile Radio even tough it have to be programmed before. Then also had problem to program the channels. But after all my tottering it have been working great. Already waiting for my next shipment.

Purchased 12 of these model radios. Gave 2 of em a test drive and they live up to thier promise. Except, out of one of the 2 we tested, the battery won't hold a charge. Even put it in the docking charger alone, without being mounted to the radio itself, and the charging dock doesn't even register that there's somthing there. Worried to find out how the other batteries hold up after not even 2 weeks of use. Would recommend, with caution.

My recommendation is BUY it. I would strongly recommend getting the programming cable. They are very hard to set up without the program cable and some features are not accessible without using the program.

I ordered a set of these. They arrived quickly in good shape.The tiny manual it came with is inadequate. Shouldn't a new set of radios come with proper drivers, software, and manual!!!!!!????

Radio is good. Does what I was expecting it to do. It comes with a programming cable, however I wasn't able to make it work had to manually program it. Fairly easy to program but its a lot faster to program if the cable works.
