Earphone works great with the unit. I wish it has a vibrating feature for private signal or message.

I ordered these as a gift for my son and he loves them. They come each with a charger base, battery, and belt clip. They work great and have pretty long range. Very happy I chose these. Would purchase again.

I wanted strong communication in outdoor hiking and activities for my family. At times we might be separated and I wanted to have a quick and reliable communication device other than cell phone. After reading many reviews I bought these because of the ear pieces, shoulder mounted speaker mic, and longer battery life than the Baofung/Pofung. I also spent $10 per walkie talkie adding a Hypario 771 (15.5" antennae) to go with them- it makes an amazing difference on the receive/send of these and it fits perfectly. The pros: small format fits in the palm of your hand, longer battery life than other handsets, claimed 5W of power output packs a punch in transmission, easy to use knobs and voice announcement of your channel. I believe these have an FM radio function, but I haven't used it. Also has a nifty LED light you can use in a constant on or strobe function in case you are in pitch dark and need an emergency light/locator beacon. I love that I could change out the antennae and improve the performance even more. The accessories of shoulder mounted clip speaker-mic are great- the volume is clear and loud, talk buttons easy to push, and quality seem very sturdy. I haven't tried the earpiece/mic that came with it, but I am hoping it is of equal quality. Audio quality was very good with clean and clear voice through the shoulder mounted spear mic- and I had extra volume to spare. I loved the light but compliant touch of the PTT button on the radio and the shoulder mic. Sending and receiving were simple and easy- the way it should be. The instructions in the box were adequate to get going and I believe that you can get a programming USB cord and use the Chirp software to program these...but the instructions didn't make any mention of it. As for the price you pay per unit, it's tough to beat these! These are ready to go right out of the box with no programming needed- just charge them up and take off. The cons: You have to screw in the belt clips to the back (everything is included but a small phillips screwdriver). They seem good but the mounting metal is thin, so I hope they last and don't break like I've read on a few reviews. The antennae that comes with these units is sufficient for normal use, but i would highly recommend springing for an aftermarket antennae like the Hypario 15.5" to instantly improve transmission/receiving over longer distances. The test: I took a half mile walk over a hill and had somebody stay inside the house while I walked through a track home development. These things broadcasted clean and quick the entire time- and I was over a small hill with many houses in the way while the other person was inside a house. I can only image that outdoor use with less obstacles will allow these babies to go for miles...and that is perfect for my needs.

I bought this as a Christmas present for a 17 year old. He absolutely LOVED this. He slept with it Christmas night. The instructions are easily read and followed. The clarity is shocking with this product. This set covers everything you could want in walkie talkies. I highly recommend this set for communications for all settings....home,camping,survival etc.

Great product. Easy to use, rechargeable battery, lightweight. My kids love them. Good range for indoor and outdoor. Would definitely recommend for kids.

Great quality, equally wonderful range clarity. Used on recent family vacation to keep track of kids while at theme parks. The upgraded (included), side mic and ear pieces worked like a charm. Worked for nearly 14 hours between charges without any issues at all. Range is roughly a mile however depending on terrain; it seemed to almost reach 2 miles with optimal conditions. Very user friendly. FM function is neat although not necessary for our purpose.

I got a chance to fully test this two way radio last night for my sister birthday party and I must say that I am amazed by this. Let start with the FM radio ( I didnt even know I it wad FM radio capable until I started fumbling with it after the party) after reading the manual it walked me thru how to uploading frequencies to the radio from a computer. The two way radio also have a built-in Led torch which came in handy when I was walking to my car last night. There also a clear voice when turning on the radio that tells you what channel you are on. It comes with (2) two ways radio the chargers for them and ear phones for them I received this product at a deep discount for a honest and unbiased review.

They did everything they could to make the order right. There was a shipping snafu outside of their control. Product works great.

In recent years, I have purchased walkie talkies from mainstream brands such as Uniden and Cobra. In both cases, something would go wrong with them relatively quickly, i.e buttons stopped working or their batteries wouldn't charge. So far, with a short week of use on a local hike, these headphones from Retevis are showing some promise. I did not bother to read the instructions, but just took them out after recharging. It was only after the fact that I discovered there are some advanced settings that are accessible by installing software from a mini CD-ROM. For now I won't touch them. Back to the hike... We took them to Malibu State Park and told the older kids to hike over to the site where they used to shoot the TV Series MASH and the rest of us meandered around near the parking lot. Signal was loud and clear. Got spotty at at some point. I approximated their distance using my iPhone's ''Find Friends'' app, and seemed to be around 0.7 miles. By the time to got to the MASH set, but we lost all contact, except via texting and or phone call. But this is pretty darn acceptable, when have you use for an ''always on'' method of communication vs. draining the batteries on your cell phone. We are casual walkie talkie users, but, comparing these with my previous walkie talkies, these seem to be a cut above. Got this at no cost or discount in exchange for an honest review.

These are a perfect fit for our after school program. The features and product quality are just as advertised. Excellent Deal!
