Awesome quality for the price! I tested the range up to 2 miles away and was impressed that I could be miles away from my business and still communicate with my team. (Sorry, I don't know the full range, because 2 miles is more than enough for my needs.) My team loves their radios!

Great alternative to an intercom system

Just moved into a 2 story condo that doesn't have an intercom system. Decided to try placing a few walkie talkies in strategic spots so my husband and I can at least get each other's attention when not close to one another. In my google search I came across the Retevis RT7 and liked that I could get 3 in order and that they were rechargeable as well as affordable. They arrived promptly and were just as advertised. I am very pleased with their quality and that they are meeting our needs much more efficiently than a non-portable intercom ever could.

The radios work perfectly. They are computer programmable (which I think is an awesome ideea: it allows for the radio interface to be very simple -on/of, channel selector and a custom button, no need for a display). They voice comes over clear, unless you're at the edge of the range. They worked for about 1 mile in the neighborhood between houses. They are small and light and the headsets are working very well and are comfortable to wear. I have not tested them in the woods though.

Best Two-Way Radio - Quality & Price

I have bought many Retevis radios before, and these next generation units are to paving the way for excellent two way communications. Compared to the H-777, the new RT7 units are much sleeker in design, have a much better antenna, and better clip. The sleeker design allows for better grip and easy PTT. The battery last a good working day. The range is quite excellent considering the size of the radio. It can go 5-7 miles easy in more open area and with dense buildings probably 1-2 which is excellent if you are inside communicating between buildings. The radios are easily programmed to any frequency you wish and come pre-programmed to use FCC no license needed frequencies; however, if you intend to use for business it is better to get a licensed frequency for optimal communications and less interference. Programming takes less then 5 minutes and can utilize the same software as the H-777 so you can use your same settings. All and all, these radios are hands down the best for price and quality! Our marina has never been able to communicate so efficiently!

I bought these for my family to use around our property. We have very hilly terrain on our 11 acres. With 4 children ages 7 and under, I needed some form of communication when out in the garden while they are in the house or on the playset. Also great for when I'm mowing and need to be able to be contacted (my cell phone isn't loud enough). Chrystal clear sound across channels. I have had these several months now and have never had a hint of static. Buttons are easy to push and the devices are easy to operate. Love the belt clip, it's pretty heavy duty. Love the option of having a separate clip for the shoulder while wearing the walkie talkie itself on the belt. Units aren't too big or heavy. The price was also excellent especially considering that fact that there are 5 walkie talkies! My mother lives on the adjoining farm and we can keep one of these units at her house. We use these daily and absolutely love them! The seller was quick to get our order to us. Would highly recommend both the product and the seller!
