RT5R High Power FPP Dual Band HAM Radio US version

After buying these I bought 10 for my company without the extra mics. I wrote a review for the 10 pack but there's no difference but the amount of radios so I just copy and pasted it in. I apologize for the length and hope it gives you the info you need. Great range on these radios. I have purchased all other brand family radios and these absolutely dominate. I live on a mountain in Washington and have tested Motorola radios with"35 mile range" and the first corner about 1/2 mile away lose connection. With the Retevis and the same test my brother was able to drive the same direction for over a mile and after descending about 400' down the other side of the mountain finally losing connection after enough earth, trees and distance were between us. I also work in a factory running over 500 digital ballasts within a few thousand sq ft. This product has 0 problems transmitting through all the electrical interference. Even within a mile of the facility we have decent connection even with many other buildings and warehouses between us. We have only been using these 10 radios at our warehouse for a few weeks but my original test was done on a 2 piece set I bought first to test them. I also got the shoulder mounted mic/speaker with that set. ( mic/speaker arrived a few days later for some reason) great investment if you have your hands full often and just need quick access or if in a loud facility/area where having a loud speaker by your ear is beneficial. But not practical for office workers/managers. While filming a film set in Seattle they work great but, arriving on scene our crew was separated and while getting into the skyscrapers the range was dramatically decreased to a matter of blocks to the point where a cellphone was used. Even with that said though these are an amazing product and for the price you can't get a better more dependable radio. With easy dock charging with red/green light. Dropped on concrete many times. Battery might eject, but no critical damage. One was caught on a car door and broke the rear clip but I've seen many get caught since then and nothing else has broke. And the Clip is removable so It should be able to get replaced. Have had water drizzled over them and speaker/mic still solid but only by accident. My two pack I believe was close to 90$ with mic ( worth it) The 10pack was 270$ and at 27$ each it was pretty unbeatable. The earpiece mic has not been tested. Only tested RETEVIS NOT Baefoung or whatever the other brand is. And yes you can find police frequencies! Seattle 155.550 Have fun and be careful to stay away from emergency channels.

Own and operate Gold Country Security guard and patrol service in northern California. Our guys love these radios because we are able to scan the local police, and emergency channels....and still communicate with our other security officers. The operating distance much better than the professional grade ICOMS we were using and the speaker clarity is wonderfully crisp, without static. Between charges, The batteries last longer than we ever believed they could. These radios are, compact, rugged, easy to operate, and very inexpensive. We picked up six of these from the factory (which included the charging stations and ear pieces for each) and with free shipping received them in only two days. And, all for less than the cost of one ICOM radio transceiver. Why only six? Just stuck our neck out.... honestly didn't expect this kind of quality and service.

We bought the radios to make a trip to Nevada we were going to be in three different cars so we bought 4 radios so if one went out with have a spare. The radios charge the well the batteries lasted well the car charger work very well tactical radios in full power we even bought the mics to hang on you Chest safety belt . even in the desert coming down if you can get a mile with it you doing exceptionally well the distance on them is not that great even though it says amateur ham operator there no stronger than a regular toy type walkie talkie

The radios work really well. They were delivered in a timely manner and the packaging they came in was impressive. I use these radios for training purposes at the squad level in the army. They work well at a decent range with hills and mountains in between radios. Only thing I would like to improve on these radios is to have the option to replace the standard antennae with a longer antennae to push the range out a little further. Overall, they are worth the money. I plan on ordering more in the future.

Got about a good 3 miles on these outside which is great for what I paid for them. I like the small size of them; it makes it easy to put in any small auxillary pockets.

I recommend this radios to my company here in grenada at the air port based on reviews I see here, the shipping time was fast,however I received the program cable and cd after I receive the radios. Now I tried the radios around the airport and it was good,however i,m looking for a antenna that will give me a little more power.but overall the radios are nice and cute and easy to use.anyone that use them will fall in love with them very soon.

I got a solid 4 miles clear no back ground noise. Wish list am band AA battery pack and programing cable included red back lights great radio for the price
