RT388Plus Rechargeable Walkie Talkie Toy For Kids

We got these for our 10 y/o grandson for his birthday. (Jan 1st) So I had ordered them at Christmas time. They said they were on back order and not to expect them before the middle of Jan. but from the reviews and the price we were willing to wait. Shoot! They made it in plenty of time for his birthday, even during the busiest time of the year! Which was awesome! We live in a 125 y/o double brick walled home, with 4" of dead air space in between the two walls and he can go outside and I can have the other inside and they work great! Crystal clear, WAY better then the kid walkie-talkies and we've spent a small fortune on those things, then you can't even hear each other. Granted, I wouldn't buy them for a 5 y/o but if your looking for something the older boys can actually enjoy and use, these are perfect! They have all kinds of "doo-dads" on them, ringtones, a flashlight, belt clip, etc. Everything the aspiring spy could want. I'm sure they would be handy while shopping at the mall, flea markets or something to keep track of each other, as well. The boys can wonder through the acres of fields around us and let their imaginations run wild! They take 4 AAA that lasted a couple of weeks, using them a few hours a day, which isn't too bad for all the fun they have!! Excellent seller service. I bought these as a Christmas gift for a 6 year old little boy who loves playing in his yard with his neighborhood friends. I can picture them playing with these for HOURS. These are not the most fancy ones available, but for kids, these are great because they're going to get torn up. They are very clear sounding and have fancy flash lights on them that are actually pretty darn bright. The battery compartment is *very* tight and I had a time getting all 4 AAA batteries put inside of it, but, once they're in, they're snugly in place. There is a removable belt clip on the back of both devices that you have to remove in order to get to the battery compartment. I can see the belt clips getting broken very easily, but, it is also a nice feature to have. I took these out of their package before wrapping it as a gift so that I could test them and make sure they were ready to rock as soon as they were opened, and I have to admit, I was actually impressed with the quality. These are great walkie talkies!! They have a good clear range and love the flashlight in them as well.

Ordered blue, for 2 boys, but their blue is very dark purple. Great 2 way radio and flashlight though! Boys love them, other than being purple.

I got these for my 5 year old daughter for her birthday to use with her 3 year old sister. They work perfectly, they are bright colored and my daughter was thrilled. I have nothing but positive things to say.

My kids, age 7 and 2, love to play with these in the house and talk to each other from other rooms. Its a cute toy. They also like the flashlight feature.

These "kids" walkie-talkies have better sound quality, range, and battery life than our "adult" ones. We live on 20 acres and use them to call the kids home for dinner when they're out of earshot.

I am so glad for honest reviewers. We bought several Disney kids walkie talkies for our 3-year old granddaughter (going on 12) and they were terrible, with loud static even when not being used. But after returning them and reading the reviews on these Retevis, I decided to give them a try. They work great, we tried them all over the house and then all over our 2 acre property and they were clear with no static, even at pretty long distances (e.g. one inside and one outside across the yard & woods). In addition to multiple channels to select in case you get interference, it has a ringer to let someone know you are calling, volume controls and a beep every time you press talk (which you can turn off but we thought would be easy to help granddaughter learn how to use them) and it has a flashlight built right in. She loves them, especially in pink. I thought they were so well made and excellent sound, I have already purchased another pair for our home for us to use, at least until our granddaughter comes over. 8-) We also appreciate Prime since our granddaughter was disappointed the others didn't work and we had to return them but we were able to get these replacements to her in 2 days, you just can't beat that!

Kids can't put them down! Nice compact size for kids, tons of fun features, extremely durable, static free, super easy to use, bright coloring... Perfect for kids and adults who may need them for family vacations, outings, etc. Thinking of giving more as gifts they're such a big hit with my 7 & 9 year old.
