Battery life has been excellent for us, and the accessories are also terrific. We use these hiking, traveling, and even around town sometimes. I'll also take them hunting, where the headset will be very helpful to keep things quiet.

I ended up getting these for my father for Christmas . I had heard mixed reviews but the overwhelming majority seemed to be positive. I have been very pleased with how they have operated thus far. My parents used them when traveling from one state, over 900 miles, to another while driving two separate vehicles (one truck, one moving van). It was so much easier to use them versus calling on their cell phones back and forth. My dad also makes sure to take it with him when he is out on his tractor and can get up to 3 miles away from the house. I am not sure if they have every tested them at the extremes of their use (10+ miles away, etc). Like I said..for what they need to do/perform, they do a fine job.

The units work great and that is with three concrete walls to go through!!! It has helped resolve the yelling down the hallways and when I am in the shed out back. It's a work room.
