we used them for a car show and track event. The batteries of these last all day and then some. Event was from 7AM to 6PM. The clarity and also range of them was great, between the show field and track was easily 2 miles and everyone was able to hear each other clearly. We also purchased ear pieces for these so everyone can hear over the engine noise and loud music. I highly recommend these walkie-talkies.

The walkie talkies were great. We used them for a convoy on a highway with line of site. On mountainous and windy roads, the distance is cut to half the effectiveness. It's awesome using them on a hike, specially if you've got a split group going at different paces.

I have had some RT7's for several years and they are a great buy for the price. The RT27's appear to be much the same. The only problem I have is that I am have been trying to use the program to change the frequency of the 27's to correspond to the 7's but the program does not work. I have tried multiple computers, mulitple walkies, and reinstalled the program sevearl times. The walkies on their own I'm sure would receive a 5 star if you don't need to adjust any settings...however, if you need to program anything you may have issues.
