First of all, do not let the idea of this radio not having a display discourage you on its performance! The convenience of the audio voice annunciation makes up for it!
And with the case ruggedness, I now use it as an everyday radio, including at work and when I go hiking.And for the price, this radio is worth it!

Great radio!!! I love the size and shape, it feels good in the hand. The audio is clear and voice prompt's and good.
Using a radio without a screen is a bit tricky at first, but once you have it setup and learn it it's good!
All in all I would buy this again and will recommend it too friends.

The radio is pretty nice for the price I would recommend it for anyone who is totally blind.
As far as accessibility wise yes the radio can be programmed.You must first download the Radio software off of the website though.

Radio works fine on the manual programming. This I like. Have not tried the programming for cross band yet. The cross band feature is why I really purchased. I am looking forward to trying the cross band feature.

I purchased this on a recommendation from a friend. It has exceeded ALL my expectations. It works so well that I have help purchase them for other friends and relatives. I would strongly recommend getting the programming cable. They are very hard to set up without the program cable and some features are not accessible without using the program. My recommendation is BUY it.
