Purchased these essentially as a toy for our 8-year-old son. At this price I would much rather buy real walkies like this than the ones in the toy aisle which actually cost more and work worse. These work great. We can talk to each other no matter where he is in our 20+ acre community. They seem strong and the sound is pretty clear. I could see using these on camping trips or at the mall too. I would give five stars except for I have noticed we've had to change the batteries pretty often,

I love these radios! No nobs to accidently turn with a button lock out and very simple to setup and operate. As for range, I live in rural montana The Clarkfork Valley. My radios will reach 4 to 5 miles while Iam in my car and my wife sits on the back porch at home. we don't have much interference in the valley which helps a lot. In the city atmosphere your looking at about 1 to 2 miles due all the interference. Great radios for the price,

Well quality is OK but these are not waterproof! These might be water resistant but the packaging says clearly states waterproof they are not.

They are pretty good, i used rechargeable batteries and they worked good for the cruise. I had a little challenge connecting to other brand walkie talkies.

These are really VERY good walkie-talkies. I am highly impressed with the range, and for our use, there will never be a time that they are OUT of range of each other. (1/4 mile at the most). The batteries have to be installed upon unboxing, and the back needs a very small phillips scredriver. The screws were pretty tight, but we overcame that. The wire for the batteries is also a little difficult to tuck away in its hole, but again, we overcame. Set on the charger, we had full capacity in about 2-hours. From there, the learning curve is not too steep, but not really intuitive. Once we had a handle on the operation, testing included both PTT (Push to Talk) functions as well as the Call button, and then finally the VOX system (Voice activated microphone). All work very well, but VOX needs to have the talkie directly in front of your face. The removable belt clips are well built and durable. with strong springs. The charger works without issue with charging lights that indicate when the units are fully charged. All told, these are a pair of excellent walkie-talkies, and at a price that doesn't break the bank for the value they provide. Recommended for many uses, and expect them to last a very long time.

The next time we go on a vacation, we will take these walkie talkies. These are not your children's walkie talkies. These are the adult ones that have up to 250000 feet hearing radius along with up to 20 stories. That is a long way. This will get you around the largest ships if you take a cruise and not lose touch with each other.

These walkies have worked very well on our ranch. Range is excellent (very clear over a few thousand feet), and clarity is very good. These are well-made and feel touch. Their compact size means they easily fit into a pocket or on the belt (and they don't get in the way).

As we hike and camp on a regular basis, and the young one likes more freedom, we prefer being able to make sure we can contact him when he is out and about. These are perfect for that. The reception is really good, even over a pretty decent distance, and the battery life is far better than other ones we've used in the past. It's pretty lightweight, and the It has a belt clip that feels not 100% sturdy, but has been ok thus far. A really good set for people who want more than a play walkie-talkie.

We like that it can carry a distance of up to 6 miles and also if we are in a building which has many floors we can use this to go up 25 floors or even less floors without a problem. The battery life is long and we can charge them easily overnight and this is great. It is nice to have a retro item like these and have the private conversations like we need.

We're believers in the Retevis brand, and these two-way radios are no exception. We've used them for all sorts of stuff, but most recently at our farm. They've been super reliable and hold up to pretty much anything. They have a long range (more than we've even been able to surpass), and the battery life is great. Love the 2 year warranty as well, although I don't think we'll need it.
